On Saturday, sadly, the preplanned 6 triples against Gerrards Cross, never materialised due their club commitments elsewhere. Thanks to all members whom I had to disappoint by standing them down. The weather was sufficiently cool enough to play 18 ends. Unfortunately, we lost 3 rinks to 1, with the overall result being 51 shots to Thame and 90 to Gerrards Cross. Our winning rink was rink 3 Tony Battaglia, Jill Brooks and Dave White 20 shots to 16. Captain Ken King.

On Sunday away at Wendover, it was a lovely afternoon for bowls, sunny with a nice breeze. A highly contested game of four triples resulted in 2 draws, one win and one loss, with an overall points difference of just 2 shots. Unfortunately, the 2 points extra went to Wendover with an overall score of 75 to Wendover and 73 to Thame. Our highest winning rink was John Wilkinson, Heather Hallchurch and Caroline Walker. There were two new bowlers this season, Alan White and Peter Hall, who played their first Sunday match and enjoyed the experience. Captain Roger Blackburn.
