Thame Bowls Club Weekly Newsletter No 7 (Norfolk Cup)
On Friday 23rd May, Thame had a rare win in the annual Norfolk Cup game against our good friends and rivals South Oxford, by a reasonable margin of 69 to 59. Most of the men's League team played a part, with Ian Rutherford as the Captain for the day. Highest winning rink was Vic Webb, Phil Reed, Bill Giles and Dave White, who finished 20 shots to 9, but everyone enjoyed a close contest played with good spirit and banter as usual.
