September 2nd marked a day of change at Thame Bowls Club; Jill Brooks retired as Ladies Captain. The ladies had played bowls against Amersham and after tea Jill was presented with a bouquet of flowers, a wooden elephant (elephants are a favourite of Jill) and a thank you card containing a gift voucher to be spent at the Thame Jewellery Workshop. Jill was delighted with her gifts, and the occasion marked a happy ending of her 8-year tenure as ladies captain.
