The highest winning rink against Oxford was played by Ann Ashfield, Jackie Emberson and Maxine Plested. The highest winning rink against Bicester was played by Ron Duncan, John Ashfield, Les Canfield and skip Bill Giles.

The friendly mixed match against Bicester on the following Saturday however saw a disappointing defeat by 50 – 104. The highest winning rink was played by John Walker, Alfred Jochum and skip Chris Shannon.

The results are not yet in for the second leg of the Norfolk Cup and will be covered in the next report. The ‘Go Active Gold’ campaign launched by SODC to encourage people to take up a sport, has proved very popular at the Bowls Club and the regular Tuesday evening sessions have been well attended.
