Thame ladies played Marlow at home on Tuesday 13th August. Weather not so humid because of a lot of cloud. Our only winning rink was Philippa Feltham, Pauline Holmes & Frances Goodyear with a score of 21 - 15. Sandra French, Marion Keal & Jan Sargeant (who shared being 2nd) and skip Heather Hallchurch had a very tough game against their team, although they tried their hardest could not beat them. Wendy Mannix, Jill Brooks & Deirdre Page had a difficult start but after picking up a 5 and a 6 and a few more shots, managed to draw on the 17th end but Marlow took the lead by 1 shot with a final score of 19 - 20. The overall score was Thame 51 - Marlow 67. Thank you and well-done ladies. Captain Jill Brooks.

On Saturday 16th August we secured a six triples match with our neighbours from Long Crendon, but unfortunately, we lost on all six rinks. Long Crendon won by 135 shots to Thame 75. Our lowest losing match was on rink 1 Wendy Mannix, Jill Brooks and John Holmes who went down 20 shots to 12. The best match in the fixture, was next door on rink 2 with Philippa Feltham, Dawn Lawley and Deirdre Page. The score at end 10 showed that our team was 22 to 6 down but they made a great come back to 26 to 21 down by end 17. The final score was 30 to 21. A great performance. Captain Ken King.
