FRIDAY LEAGUE TRIPLES RULES 2022
THE FRIDAY LEAGUE WILL BE MADE UP OF 12 TEAMS OF 6 OR 7 PLAYERS
EACH TEAM WILL BE MADE UP AS FOLLOWS
ONE TEAM CAPTAIN, ONE OTHER SHIP TWO TWOS AND TWO OR THREE LEADS
TEAM CAPTAIN-WILL PLAY AS SKIP AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT HIS /HER TEAM ARE ALL AVAILABLE FOR EVERY GAME EVEN WHEN NOT PLAYING THEMSELVES
SKIP=WILL SKIP THE TEAM IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE TEAM CAPTAIN
TWOS=WILL PLAY IN POSITION TWO BUT MAY SKIP OR LEAD IF ASKED
LEADS=WILL GENERALLY ONLY PLAY LEAD AND ONLY IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES PLAY AT TWO. THE LEADS IN TEAMS OF 7 MAY ONLY PLAY 5 ENDS WHEN DOUBLING UP
THE GAME WILL CONSIST OF 10 ENDS
IF A PLAYER SCHEDULED TO PLAY IS UNAVAILABLE IT IS THEIR OWN RESPONSIBILITY TO FIND A REPLACEMENT FROM HIS / HER TEAM
PHONE NUMBERS ARE ON THE WEBSITE IN THE MEMBER MENU
A FULL PLAYING SCHEDULE WITH A LIST OF TEAM MEMBERS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO EVERY LEAGUE PLAYER SO THERE WILL BE NO EXCUSE FOR FAILING TO FULFIL YOUR PLAYING OBLIGATION
TO ENSURE THAT THE FRIDAY LEAGUE CONTINUES TO BE PLAYED IN A “PROFESSIONAL” MANNER AND THAT EACH TEAM MEMBER IS AWARE OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES IT IS EXPECTED THAT EACH TEAM CAPTAIN WILL MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE THE POINT OF CONTACT FOR THEIR TEAM MEMBERS. SKIPS AND TWOS MUST BE AWARE THAT SOME LEADS HAVE ONLY JUST STARTED BOWLING SO WILL NEED HELP AND ADVICE.
THE FRIDAY CLUB NIGHTS HAVE BECOME INCREASINGLY POPULAR OVER THE YEARS AND WE HOPE THAT PLAYERS WILL STILL HAVE FUN WHILST PLAYING IN A COMPETITIVE SPIRIT, BUT WE ALSO HOPE THAT EVERYONE WILL ADHERE TO THE DISIPLINE AND ETIQUETTE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS GREAT GAME.
Naturally there will be a full bar all evening with bacon and sausage rolls after every game as well as the wonderful money draw.

Points scoring
Points are awarded thus :-
Win = 3
Draw=2
Loss=1
Bonus point for any team scoring 15 shots or more in any 1 round irrespective of whether they win,lose or draw.
League table position is decided by total number of points including any bonus points.
If 2 or more teams have the same number of points then the team with the greatest difference of For and Against shots is higher up the table.
If teams have the same number of points and the same difference then it is the team with the highest number of shots for.
If they are all equal then it is the team with the most Bonus Points.
