WINNERS 2004
HOME COUNTIES (Fours) CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
In 2004, four club members with a combined age of 265 years and representing OXFORDSHIRE won the HOME COUNTIES (fours) CHAMPION of CHAMPIONS — OXFORDSHIRE’S first ever win in the history of this competition. A remarkable achievement and a great honour for our club. VIC WEBB, LES WESTCOTT, GRAHAM PENN and skip RON SLATER were victorious versus BERKSHIRE in the quarter final, and just edged the semi-final 19 shots to 18 versus MIDDLESEX and won a rousing final versus SURREY.
