Dear Registrant,
Please read our easy-to-use registration procedure that follows so that you understand what registering an account entails.
Very important: Only a current club members will be allowed to register an account. This will be verified against the Thame Bowls Club member list.  
Our website registration rules requires a registrant to disclose his real name for identification – this is the only way to determine if the registrant is a member of the club or not.  
In addition you must use any “username” you wish to use and will remember easily - this is used to log on to your account once it is approved.  
Then you must enter a password for your account. Please make sure that your password is kept secret.  Choose a password that is not easy to guess but easy for you to remember.  Every time you log in to your account, you are given the opportunity to change your password. Do this as often as you like and certainly when you suspect that someone else has discovered your password.  If you forget your password, use the "Forgot your password?" link below the "Log In" section to reset it.
To protect the Member's Only area of the website from non-members and possible hackers, we introduced a registration process that you may find a little cumbersome but will make 100% sure that non-members and hackers do not have access to the Members' Only area of the website. Briefly, the process is as follows:
  1. Click on the "Create an account" link found below the "Log In" section. This opens a form for your details
  2. Fill in the registration form - please use your REAL name and a user name of your choice
  3. Type in a password, and repeat it to confirm the password
  4. Type in your email address - make sure it is correct otherwise registration can not be completed
  5. Wait a short while, then retrieve the email sent to you from the website as part of the registration process
  6. Click on the "activation link" in the email - this verifies that your email address is valid and you're a human
  7. An email is sent to the website administrator for approval
  8. The administrator validates the registrant details and approves the application
  9. An email is sent to the registrant to confirm registration - it is now possible to sign on to the member's area of the website
  10. If it takes longer than 48 hours for your account to be activated, please send an email to the Club Management from the “Contact Us” page to prompt an investigation.
